Shipping Operator Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Shipping Operator to be based out of Wayne, MI.  Position is available on 2nd Shift (M-F, 3:00PM-11:30PM).  Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for performing the work of stock person, driving industrial equipment, and picking/packing customer orders. What you'll do: Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Accurately and efficiently pick orders from Warehouse stock locations utilizing RF Smart scanning equipment following pick list instructions Responsible for performing all necessary JDE and RF Smart transactions Consolidate product within Warehouse rack locations Responsible for conducting cycle counts of product Safely and accurately prepare product for shipment Ensure quality standards are met by verifying packed product is labeled accurately; notify appropriate support for nonconforming parts Must maintain shipping standards to meet internal and external customer demand Responsible for the accurate completion of all paperwork, transactions, tags, etc. Adhere to all Life Saving Rules, including: Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding/Bypassing Safety Controls, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety protocols Ensure Safety, Delivery, Quality, and Cost metrics are met daily Support 5S initiatives in assigned work areas What you'll bring: One year of manufacturing experience preferred Basic math and verbal skills Must be trained and certified in all required material handling equipment, including powered industrial trucks Ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery Flexibility of shift scheduling, to include overtime and weekends Demonstrate Atkore Core Values - Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence Within 3 months, you'll: Follow standard work processes and operate with a continuous improvement mindset Lead, assist, and/or instruct employees in the performance of their duties, as requested Possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and have strong work ethic Who we are: Atkore is a recipient of a Great Place to Work certification and a Top Workplaces USA award!  We're committed to creating an engaged and aligned workforce that drives collaborative culture.  Our team strives for breakthrough results, stays focused on being standout leaders, and fully supports decisions of the Company.  We consistently live the Atkore mission, strategic priorities, and behaviors, all in a way that's consistent with our core values.  Together, we build strong leaders that continually endeavor to move us forward.
