Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Data Engineer in the Business Services industry, based in URBANDALE, Iowa. In this role, you will be instrumental in the development and maintenance of our data warehouse, working extensively with both on-premise and cloud-based data. You will also be liaising with various business units, ensuring that our data meets the needs of the organization and aids in decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the lead in building our data warehouse, ensuring that all data sources are correctly integrated and accessible.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Leverage information science expertise to optimize the management and usage of our data.

• Conduct relational database work, ensuring that our databases are structured effectively and efficiently.

• Utilize Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI to create insightful reports and visualizations.

• Carry out data normalization and data cleansing activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data.

• Use SQL to query, read, and code data, as well as to interface with third-party tools.

• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in data engineering to continuously improve our data processes and systems.

• Leverage your knowledge to layer applications on top of data, enhancing the accessibility and usability of our data.

• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure that our data strategy aligns with our overall business goals. Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role or similar capacity.

• Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) and Business Requirement Document is essential.

• Demonstrated expertise in SQL Server Business Intelligence is required.

• Familiarity with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), and SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) is crucial.

• Proficient in executing SQL Queries.

• Must have hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power BI, and Power Business Intelligence.

• Experience with Tableau is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of Data Analysis Tools and Data Analytics is a must.

• Ability to Perform Data Analysis accurately and efficiently.

• Experience in Data Warehousing is required.
