Amazon Manager, Business Intelligence, Central Flow in Tempe, Arizona

Description

The Central Flow Team is seeking a Manager to build an operational-focused Business Intelligence team supporting centralized operations teams within CF. Central Flow is comprised of several verticals supporting NACF Fulfillment, including OB Sortable, Non-Sortable, IXD, Dock, Floor Health, and more. The BI Team within CF will work to shape network execution through the development and application of innovative labor & flow planning mechanisms and techniques. Our goal is to improve and enhance the Amazon Fulfillment network to ultimately drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner that is truly world-class.

In this role, you will lead a team of Business Intelligence professionals in leveraging various analytic and visualization techniques to support data-driven storytelling, and look around corners to continuously raise the bar on our business insights capabilities. You will collaborate with teams across CF to meet the current and future needs of the business through automation, standardization, and reporting. You will continually coach, develop, and mentor your team to achieve strong levels of performance and their personal development goals.

Key job responsibilities

Inspire and manage a talented Business Intelligence Engineering team to achieve its goals and development potential

Define and manage a long-term vision and portfolio of initiatives to improve the customer experience and business results through creating world-class metrics, analysis, visualizations, and data-driven storytelling.

Drive a Business Intelligence roadmap; prioritize business insight requests to balance the tactical and strategic information needs of the business

Collaborate and partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand, anticipate, and respond to current and future information needs

Lead the definition and governance of key business metrics, drive the vision and building of self-service analytic capabilities, and engineer data-driven processes that drive business value

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience

  • 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with ETL

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related business/analytical disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience

  • 10+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience
