Google Global Commodity Manager, Memory in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in commodity management or supply chain management.

  • Experience with NAND flash and supplier relationships.

  • Experience with managing performance in technology alignment, quality, and delivery.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • 10 years of experience in commodity management or supply chain management in the data center/mission critical industry.

  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing technology.

  • Knowledge of DRAM (dynamic random access memory) and NAND flash technologies.

  • Knowledge of the supply base for both DRAM (dynamic random access memory) and NAND flash.

As a Global Commodity Manager, you will develop commodity strategies and execute on them. You will lead cross-functional teams through the supplier selection process for new platforms/components. You will conduct business discussions and secure comprehensive agreements with suppliers. You'll maintain a high level of industry expertise and supplier/market conditions, and manage supplier performance in cost, quality, delivery, and technology alignment. You will propose and implement supply chain improvements.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $153,000-$230,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead cross-functional teams to drive memory and NAND flash technologies and components at key memory suppliers.

  • Maintain a level of industry and technology expertise as well as supplier and market conditions.

  • Understand semiconductor structures and be conversant with developing models.

  • Develop sourcing strategies for memory and NAND flash and execute on them.

  • Manage supplier relationships and performance in technology alignment, cost, quality, and delivery, facilitate strategic agreements, and implement supply chain improvements.
