Part-time Support Staff

Hybrid Option: No

The General Maintenance Mechanic reports to the Chief Plant Operator. The position is responsible for all routine p.m. maintenance of HVAC equipment at the Sugar Grove Campus. This includes all heating and cooling systems. Must have basic computer skills. Will have access to a building automation system.

Responsibilities

Maintain and monitor heating and cooling systems. This will include inspection, replacement of v-belts, air filters, and grease bearings.

Assist with HVAC system troubleshooting and repairs.

Safely maintain chemical treatment for heating and cooling systems. Closed Loops -primarily perform daily testing and make necessary operational adjustments as needed.

Perform monthly boiler safety inspections and testing.

Perform basic plumbing repairs which include sinks, toilets, urinals and water fountains.

Safely troubleshoot 120,208,480 and control circuits. Perform basic electrical repair and maintenance.

Assist mechanics as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Two years employment in related field.

Valid driver\'s license and a clean driving record required.

Team player, ability to work well with others.

Physical ability to lift 80 lbs. occasionally.

Ability to work from ladders or scaffolds and lifts.

Good communication skills, both oral and written.

Ability to do frequent climbing, standing, crawling and walking.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Able to perform basic work order function with smartphone and computer.
