Element Materials Technology Material Handler in Rancho Dominguez, California

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Material Handler position to perform incoming inspection, packaging, sorting, and verifying customer PO's match to generated work orders. The role will serve purpose to execute daily scheduled orders and be able to communicate directly with departments, Quality, and customers when identifying part damages and keeping a portfolio of critical customer trends.

Salary: $21-$23/hr DOE

Responsibilities

  • Support production with the movement of parts to support master schedule

  • Physically move and expedite materials when required in support of production and meet work order completion dates

  • Verify all materials are packaged and banded for transport, and assists with loading and unloading of trucks when needed

  • Interface with receiving, quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems relative to receipt and distribution of material

  • Identify any FOD

  • Operate material handling equipment including but not limited to: forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts

  • Stage jobs based on daily schedules to improve department throughput

  • Interpret customer PO's to Work Orders and drawings

  • Drive as needed

  • Computer experience including Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Ability to understand, follow, and maintain quality, safety, and / or infection control standards

  • Valid Drivers license

  • Ensures all work is accurate and free of errors / defects

  • General administrative methods, principals and practices

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the employer obtaining the necessary export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security, the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Defense Trade Controls, or other applicable government agency.
