About the Role

As a Privacy Manager, you provide advice on privacy and data protection to the business. You lead privacy assessments, track compliance, and embed RX Global Privacy Office's requirements. You also ensure that the company's processes and standards align with the RX Global Privacy Office's standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the RX Global Privacy Office in providing high-quality, timely and solution-led advice on all aspects of privacy and data protection compliance covering USA, Brazil and Mexico.

  • Leading on the completion of privacy assessments to assess the impact of proposed changes to business processes and agreeing mitigating actions with Risk Owners.

  • Tracking and reporting privacy compliance activity and communicating privacy risks and compliance to business unit board and RX Global Privacy Office.

  • Embedding requirements, processes and standards set by the RX Global Privacy Office and including implementing a business unit privacy and data protection compliance project.

  • Reviewing and drafting of privacy notices and supplementary notices relevant to specific processing activities;

  • Delivering tailored privacy compliance training in conjunction with the RX Global Privacy Office.

  • Updating of the data inventory and reviewing of data flows.

  • Leading and assisting in, and review of rights requests and associated processes.

  • Assisting in audit reporting processes.

  • Establishing and embedding a culture of privacy through an engaged network of champions and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • CIPP/US, CIPM or other officially recognized privacy or legal certification is a must.

  • F luency in English is required. Fluency in Spanish and / or Portuguese is desired.

  • Possess good working knowledge of local laws such as: Mexico, Brazil, US CANSPAM, TSR, TCPA, COPPA, CCPA, and CPRA.

  • Be able to analyze legislative requirements and relate them to organizational practices and solutions.

  • Have significant commercial experience in privacy and data protection expertise.

  • Have a deep understanding of online platforms, ecommerce, big data, and processes.

  • Be able to engage effectively and create buy-in with all levels of the organization.

  • Be able to provide clear and effective communication and reporting on changes and issues.

  • Be able to move at pace and use different improvement strategies appropriate to the scope of work.

  • Be able to take control and exercise leadership.

  • Be well organized and efficient, with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

  • Be able to work effectively and supportively within a global team.

  • Be able to travel as needed.
