DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Royal Canin is looking to hire a Sanitation Manager at our North Sioux City, South Dakota facility.

The Sanitation Manager's primary responsibilityis to ensure that the manufacturing and general office areas remain clean and free of microbiological contamination and pest infestation.

This position manages the facility's sanitation, including supervising the sanitation team and the temporary associate cleaning crews. It also ensures that the factory continuously meets or exceeds established guidelines and standards.

This role is responsible for implementing site and corporate Food Safety and Sanitation initiatives, specifically for developing the Sanitation and Pest Control Programs that support the existing and expanding Food Safety requirements. The Sanitation Manager will facilitate teams in his/her area of responsibility and conduct or coordinate the necessary training for both the individual associates and the team. This manager will implement and enforce established policy and strategy in line with HACCP, CFIA, FDA and Mars QMP Standards. The Sanitation Manager will support necessary audits to maintain required Food Safety Certifications.

What will be your key responsibilities? * Manage the efforts of the sanitation team that supports efficient conversion of materials into quality products in a safe, secure and sanitary manner within the product design specifications. * Recommend and implement changes in methods, equipment, systems and organization, as needed, to assure that the objectives of sanitation and pest control are met. * Maintain a high performing team environment, able to resolve associate relations issues. Responsible for hiring, training, retraining, developing and motivating the Sanitation associates. Create a self-managed team that is able to work with a minimum degree of guidance * With the general guidance of the Quality and Food SafetyManager, establish area performance standards and goals, and measure, control, take corrective action and report results as appropriate. * Utilize the technical resources on shift for the preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of equipment problems, with the objective of effectively using these resources to achieve desired performance levels.
