Description Job Title:Thermo Operator I Shift: 2nd (4PM-12AM) Department:Production Location:Middletown, OH Reports To:Shift Supervisor FLSA Status:Hourly, Non-Exempt The Thermoformer Operator Level I is responsible for the operation and quality of bubble wrap and other similar products produced by the forming machines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Understand machine mechanics, including unwind, knives, rollers, web, etc. Job setup or changeover on machine with no supervision following standard work procedures Perform necessary machine power/startup, setup, changeovers, shift turnovers, and power down procedures with supervision or assistance Measure and test product Identify defects in product Read and comprehend work order Accurately complete First Off Check Sheet Produce product to work order specifications Dimensions Box quantities Pallet configurations Label information Placard information Run speed (bags/rolls/lbs./pks. per hour) maintained Roll size Perforation location, performance and size Print labels for finished goods and ensure proper placement Complete and apply roll tags Maintain budgeted scrap levels Complete Quality check sheet after every roll/per required frequency. Must maintain 90% compliance. Complete production data entry consistently and accurately into applicable computer systems Maintain required inventory levels for pull system Stage rolls in required locations Familiar with downstream equipment Close work orders (remove job packets, placard for partials, remove materials) Identify E-stops and safety sensitive areas Assist in Maintenance PMs Material boards accurate and updated Housekeeping per 5S Handoff Audits Workbenches clean and organized Scrap removed Trash dumped Floors swept QA samples neatly placed in boxes Full QA boxes removed and tagged properly Excess or unused materials removed Practice safe behavior with regards to equipment and task Able to resolve technical problems independently or with the assistance of a Lead Understand RM and FG part numbers Able to count inventory Able to run at least one machine in the forming group of machines Other duties, as assigned #IndeedMID#ZR PAC Worldwide is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
