Insight Global Supply Chain Planner in Irvine, California

Job Description

As a Supply Chain Planner at Supernal, you will be at the forefront of shaping our emerging mobility solutions. This role requires a candidate with a background in supply chain, supplier relationship management, and transportation management. You will be skilled and understand supplier onboarding, inbound transportation, and schedule management to support our supply chain and production through the build of the vehicles. Working closely with supply chain leadership, supply chain operations, and accounting, your attention to detail and bias for action will be essential in accelerating our ability to meet our long-term objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Onboarding Process: Developing and implementing a streamlined onboarding process for new vendors, including gathering necessary documentation, conducting due diligence, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

- Documentation Management: Maintaining accurate records of vendor contracts, agreements, and other relevant documentation.

- Order Tracking: Monitoring the status of orders placed with suppliers or vendors to ensure they are progressing to schedule.

- Vendor Coordination: Communicating with suppliers, to expedite orders, resolve issues, and negotiate faster delivery times.

- Communication: Serving as a liaison between various departments, such as procurement, production, and logistics to facilitate the smooth flow of materials or services.

- Performance Monitoring: Tracking key performance indicators, such as lead time, on time delivery rates, and general supplier performance metrics.

- Continuous Improvement: Owning the processes supported and identify opportunities to streamline, reduce lead times, and increase efficiency. null
