The Maintenance Manager in Franklin WI is a key operations stakeholder for a new 340,000 square foot conversion facility and will play an integral part of Saputo\'s strategy to optimize its cheese network in North America. Saputo has a strong history in Wisconsin and are proud to be expanding our footprint in this area. In this role, you are responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the Company. This position will implement and manage the plant maintenance program based on best practices, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling of preventive, and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability by reducing machine downtime and unscheduled maintenance. How you will make contributions that matter... * Continuous development and support of ourMaintenance Management System (i.e., downtime, Preventive Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Training business needs, etc.). * Provide Operational Reliability through improvement in Process, People and Asset Reliability. * Prioritize our major equipment problem areas and develop approaches to address these situations and improve performance. * Work with Scheduling and Engineering to meet all new line improvement upgrades. * Develop Line Operators and Mechanicsthrough mentoring/coaching and coordination of individual developmental plans. * Communicate directly with the operations and quality departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas. * Develop and follow an improved line maintenance qualification process to improve the maintenance skill and plant productivity. * Track and measure line maintenance productivity. * Plan, organize, and recommend the most efficient lines, methods, machines, and facilities for improved production performance. * Coordinate line maintenance changeovers to meet production schedule and customer requirements. * Responsible for managing cost in areas of responsibility. * Supervise and assist with hiring plant maintenance personnel. * Ensure city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are always met. * Arrange for outside contract services, establish work specifications, and negotiate contracts as needed. * Monitor production efficiencies and work toward improved rates and staffing levels. * Deliver equipment/maintenance capabilities for new product quotes. * Ensure that all safety policies and critical maintenance repairs and procedures are followed in the production area. * Adheres to all policies listed in the Employee Handbook and maintains a good personal safety record. * Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP\'s), Food Safety and Saputo Cheese USA Quality Policy Statement. * All other responsibilities as assigned.
