Fusion Wood Products Forklift Operator in Elkhart, Indiana
- Primary Responsibilities: Safely loading or unloading materials from a variety of vehicles by hand, or utilizing a pallet-jack, forklift or hand cart. Moving pallet-packed materials around the site. Checking loads are secure. Performing daily equipment checks and basic maintenance. Following written instructions and keeping records. Adhering to health and safety regulations. Completing physical tasks quickly and accurately. Safely handling of outgoing shipments and incoming deliveries. Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials Pack [or re-pack], seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies. Confer or correspond with Shipping Leader to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or non conformance to specifications. Deliver or route materials to departments. Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for Inspect shipments to ensure correct order fulfillment. Store items. Record shipping information.
