The Americas Sales Strategy, Operations and Enablement (SSOE) team is seeking a driven Sales Operations Analyst for the ISV (Independent Software Vendor) Segment.

Our team is responsible for supporting the rapidly growing ISV business, from Sales Leaders to Solutions Architects and everything in between. We are seeking a Sales Operations Analyst with broad technical skills to partner with the Field Sales Operations team to play a key role in supporting the go-to-market strategy of this team.

As a member of this team, you will leverage strong data extraction skills to drive worldwide reporting deliverables, create ad hoc financial and sales performance analysis, support business planning, and implement operational and process improvements. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business units, as well as across multiple geographies. Successful members of this team collaborate effectively to solve data and operational problems, implement new reporting solutions, and deliver successfully against high operational standards.

The ideal candidate for this role will have strong business and financial acumen, broad technical skills, sales and marketing expertise and be very comfortable diving deep into data. This is a hands-on position - the ideal candidate must be willing to “roll up their sleeves."

This position works with the several stakeholders supporting the extended ISV organization, such as Business Development, Marketing, Professional Services, and the Partner team. The candidate for this role must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as across other geographies.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with operations and sales leadership to support the go-to-market strategy of the ISV organization.

  • Develop a deep understanding of sales metrics, reporting tools, and data structure to identify and drive resolution of issues, provide actionable intelligence with existing metrics or identify, develop, and propose new metrics, dashboards, scorecards or new tools.

  • Develop relationships and processes with marketing, partner sales, field sales, business development, internal data teams, finance, sales operations, and other stakeholders to execute the operational priorities.

  • Identify reporting issues, gaps in processes, and drive timely resolution.

  • Create new tools and business processes that simplifies, standardizes and enables operational excellence.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in Sales Operations or Analytics focused roles

  • 3+ years experience utilizing SQL, Excel, and other tools to manipulate and analyze large, complex data sets

  • 2+ years experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company

  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
