Unique opportunity to join a Dayton-based manufacturer of heavy industrial equipment adding a Manufacturing Operations Manager to their operation to support lean initiatives and lead the team of eight Production Supervisors. Seeking a seasoned Manager in an industrial manufacturing environment (experience in a union environment a plus!) with demonstrated experience with implementing lean initiatives and driving continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Operations Manager will be required to communicate at all levels of the organization, so outstanding communication skills, empathy, and a strong desire to develop others will be vital to success in this position. Position Responsibilities: Manages one or more manufacturing processes. Assists with planning and directing the layout of equipment. Ensures production follows appropriate workflow and assembly methods. Hires, schedules and trains production staff. Ensures manufacturing performance and quality goals are met. Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits.
