Description:

The role of the Nurse Practitioner is to integrate the elements of health maintenance disease prevention, physical diagnosis and treatment in a patient care clinic. This includes the treatment and management of common, acute and chronic conditions. The Nurse Practitioner services may be utilized in any setting including, but not limited to, the office, the ambulatory clinic, the hospital, the patient’s home, extended care facilities and nursing homes according to credentialing regulations of the institutions or insurance carriers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Possession of current license as a RN in the State of Iowa

  2. Masters degree in nursing

  3. Must have completed an approved course in appropriate specialty.

  4. DEA Certified, required.

  5. Must be BLS certified.

  6. Knowledge of specific area of specialty.

  7. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

  8. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
