Shift 1 (United States of America) Position Summary: We're looking for a qualified Facility Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Systems) for our Batavia, Ohio location. This role is a professional who specializes in the mechanical systems within a plant/facility. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems within facilities. They perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment, and utility systems. Work You'll Do: Installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems. Inspecting and testing mechanical systems and equipment to identify any faults or issues. Repairing or replacing faulty mechanical components. Ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and regulations. Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications. Troubleshooting mechanical problems. Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks. Advising on potential upgrades or improvements to mechanical systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe working environment Perform structural building repairs. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely. Keep records of inspections, maintenance, and repair work. Team: This role will be a part of the Afton Facility Maintenance team reporting directly to the Facility Maintenance Manager. Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training/certificate; apprenticeship preferred. 5 plus years of experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician or equivalent combination of education and experience. Effective written and verbal communication Strong technical skills including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair techniques. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Problem solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail. Good understanding of maintenance procedures and safety regulations Preferred Qualifications: Mechanical apprenticeship, vocational training, or an associate degree in mechanical technology. Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), preferably asset essentials Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform responsibilities. Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations. Through understanding of both hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
