Sauder Woodworking Co 2nd Shift Cabinetry Assembly Team Coordinator in Archbold, Ohio

Sauder Cabinetry produces frameless full access Kitchen Cabinets made in the USA with unrivaled value and quality. The Team Coordinator coordinates the direction and leadership to a team of employees on an assembly line striving to continually improve, safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties as assigned.

  • Coordinates department operations with area supervisor to ensure team members have the proper information, material, tools, and other supplies needed to complete work at the assembly line.
  • Provides training and support for the team members by providing them with the proper training tools.
  • Organizes and assigns work activities for team members. Works closely with the area supervisor to manage employee requirement changes throughout the day.
  • Works closely with the area supervisor to assist and encourage continuous improvements, promote better efficiency rates, decrease set up and other downtime, and effectively utilize employee labor.
  • Working directly with inventory tech and/or scheduler to ensure builds are getting completed in a timely manner according to dates and needs.
  • Leads discussions ("huddles") with team members to review performance against key metrics. Provides feedback (coaching) to employees about performance related issues. Reports and documents all performance related issues with the area supervisor.
  • Performs audits of key department procedures and standard work.
  • Assists team with disposition and investigation of quality issues. Identifies effective ways to decrease controllable rebuilds.
  • Works with area supervisor to understand needs for any custom cabinets needed from the small batch area.
  • Works at continuous improvement, both individually and by encouraging assigned members.
  • Plans ahead for the shift as well as the following shift.
  • Assists in the training and orientation of new employees.
  • Provides daily communication to are supervisor including shirt to shift.
  • May serve as backup to Supervision.
  • Reinforces 5S procedures and insures daily 5S tasks are completed.
